Kitchen fitting

Kitchen fitting in Pontefract and the Five Towns

You buy the kitchen. We put it in properly.

Fitting is all BHD Interiors does. Kitchens from the national retailers, kitchens from independent suppliers, kitchens you ordered a year ago and never got round to — if it is on your drive in boxes, we can fit it.

What is included

What a kitchen fit covers

Exactly what is in your job is set out on your written quote. In general terms, a fit covers the work below.

The fitting work

  • Stripping out the old kitchen, where that is part of the quote
  • Checking floors and walls, and levelling before anything is fixed
  • Assembling, setting and levelling the carcasses
  • Fitting worktops — cut, scribed and jointed
  • Hanging and aligning doors and drawer fronts
  • Plinths, cornice, pelmet and end panels
  • Building appliance housings and seating the appliances
  • Handles, trims and the finishing pieces that get left off

We also do fitted bedrooms, flooring and joinery — ask when you enquire.

Who it is for

If the kitchen is bought and the fitting is not

You ordered from a national retailer

You have a plan, a delivery date and a pile of flat boxes on the way. What you have not got is somebody to put it in. We fit kitchens supplied by the big retailers, working from the plan they gave you.

You bought from an independent supplier or a trade counter

Same job, different badge on the boxes. Send us the plan and the unit list with your enquiry and we will quote from those.

You are replacing a kitchen, not building a house

Most of our work is a kitchen going into a room that already has one. That means stripping out, making good, and working around a family who still need to eat.

How it works

From first look to signed off

  1. Measure and quote

We come out, measure the room, go through the plan from your supplier, and put the price in writing.

  2. Confirm a date

You pick a start date that works with the delivery of your kitchen. We hold it.

  3. Fit

Old units out if that is in the quote, floor levelled, carcasses set, worktops fitted, doors and drawers aligned.

  4. Walk round and sign off

We go round the finished kitchen with you, open every door, and agree anything that still needs doing before the job is signed off.

Questions

About the fitting

Do you supply the kitchen, or only fit it?

We fit. The kitchen comes from your own supplier, usually one of the national retailers, and we install it. That keeps our price to one thing and it keeps the responsibility for the fit in one place.

Can you fit a kitchen I bought somewhere else?

Yes. It does not matter where the kitchen came from, as long as it arrives complete. Send us the plan and the unit list when you enquire and we will quote from those.

How long does a kitchen take?

Most kitchens take between a few days and two weeks, depending on size and on whether walls, plumbing or electrics need work. Your written quote gives the timescale for your job.

Do you do the plumbing and the electrics?

We handle the fitting. Where plumbing or electrical work needs a certified tradesperson, we tell you up front so it can be booked in alongside the fit.
